The Center for the Study of Oligarchs Signs Transformational Grant Agreement with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund
Los Angeles and Bogotá – The Center for the Study of Oligarchs will receive a $60,000 transformational grant from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
The grant will provide general support for The Center’s activities.
“The Rockefeller Brothers Fund’s transformational grant enables us to provide independent, objective, nonpartisan, and dispassionate research and analysis about one of our planet’s biggest challenges: oligarchs,” said David Lingelbach, Chair of The Center’s board of directors. “As the world’s first organization focused on oligarchs, and in a time when these economic and political actors are increasingly dominating our world, RBF’s funding is a strong vote of confidence in our work.”
Valentina Rodríguez Guerra, The Center’s Vice Chair and Executive Director, added: “This grant will be critical to realizing The Center’s promise to help the world decode oligarchs and better contain them.”
“The Center’s mission is critical to strengthening democracy, a longstanding priority of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund,” said Betsy Campbell, RBF’s Executive Vice President. “There is an urgent need for fresh thinking about the nature and implications of concentrated political and economic power. We are honored to support The Center as it helps to lead the way..”
